PS Casein: The Science
PS Casein is the predominant protein found in milk, composing about 80% of the naturally occurring protein content and is extracted without the use of chemicals using ultra-filtration, preserving the integrity of the amino acid profile and naturally occurring peptides. The unique nature of casein is that it has been shown to elevate amino acid levels for up to 7 hours after ingestion, substantially longer than whey or even milk protein isolate. This is due to the fact that casein proteins are PH sensitive causing them to thicken in the acidic environment of the stomach into a gel meaning there is a slow release of nutrients and amino acids. Due to this unique “time-released” quality, casein is considered anti-catabolic or muscle-protecting protein and ideal for applications such as pre-bed.
DIRECTIONS
For a great tasting, delicious shake combine 1 scoop of PSCASEIN™ with 3-6 ounces of cold water (depending on personal preference for desired thickness). Use 2-3 servings daily for maximum protein uptake. Always drink 12 to 16 ounces of additional water for each protein shake consumed.
